About Honolulu

Honolulu, located along the southeast coast of Oahu, is both the capital and largest city of the state of Hawaii. The city is also a major hub for international business, military defense, as well as famously being host to a diverse variety of east-west and Pacific culture, cuisine, and traditions.

Downtown Honolulu consists of four sub-districts: Capitol District, Central Business District, Chinatown and Waterfront. The Capitol and Central Business Districts consist of mainly high-rise office buildings, and state and federal government buildings, within a 12-block area. The revitalization of Downtown/Chinatown Honolulu is ongoing and is home to many trendy, up and coming restaurants and shops.

Salt Lake, a booming neighborhood of Honolulu, is conveniently located near Military bases, Honolulu International Airport, all major freeways and only minutes to Downtown Honolulu. This area is considered a green neighborhood community with large park lands, hiking trails around the slopes of Aliamanu and Aliapa’akai craters.
