A life-long resident of Oahu, Hawaii, Glenn Yamamoto was born in Wahiawa and graduated from Leilehua High School and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Hawaii. “I have lived here all my life,” says Glenn, “There really is no other place in the world with good weather and great people of such diverse ethnic backgrounds that get along so well.”
Glenn has bought and sold homes on Oahu since 1988 and inspired by friend and Engel & Völkers Hawaii President and Principal Broker Kay Mukaigawa, made the decision to enter Real Estate as a Licensed Sales Agent in June of 2004. Since then, Glenn has successfully represented all types of buyers and selling clients of both residential and commercial Real Estate across the island of Oahu.
Many of the achievements Glenn has experienced in his Real Estate career are derived from the learnings and dedication to business prior to Real Estate. Glenn started Samurai Inc. in 1993, creating Saumurai products including Samurai Maui Sherbets. Through this entrepreneurial experience, Glenn has displayed his natural business acclimate while honing his negotiation, management and interpersonal communication skills.
Glenn has committed to furthering and developing his Real Estate abilities, earning the designations of Certified New Home Specialist (CSP), Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES) and his Hawaii Real Estate Brokers License. With Engel & Völkers, Glenn has the ability to support his clients locally in Hawaii and internationally through the professional network of trusted Engel & Völkers advisors.
In his spare time, Glenn enjoys cooking, playing golf, home renovations and international travel. As a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Certified Tennis Teaching Professional, Glenn maintains his fitness by playing as many rounds of tennis his busy schedule will allow. Glenn also makes a considerable effort to give back to the community he serves, volunteering Shave Ice services to various local foundations and charities during their fundraising events.
